This was first published in January 2013. We’ve doubled in size since our first master plan charrette, now it’s time to revisit again in 2016. Andrew Rebelo (far left) led the continued discussion. Renewing the Vision
RENEWING THE VISION The original Katywil master plan was developed in 2011 with the help of architects and a permaculture designer. It identified locations for various farm scale activities and community spaces with a goal to optimize our land use and create functional relationships.
In 2013 we focused our attention on the details, prioritized our interests and came up with a list of projects that will begin to implement the plan. Some of these projects include making community pathways, planting fruit and nut trees in key locations, developing an irrigation system for the community garden, exploring grain production to feed our farm animals and developing community play spaces.
We are really excited about getting these projects underway. Stay tuned for 2016 developments!
