Stowe Farm Community is located on the north-west end of the town of Colrain, 0.25 miles from the Heath town line. Our property encompasses 80 acres. Our homes are nestled on the hillside with Kennedy Ridge to the east, and Stone Mountain to south, and with a view of Pioneer Valley in the distance below. The pristine clear water of Vincent Brook runs alongside our houses. Nestled in the woods, it is an enchanting brook that we all love to stroll along or rest by in all seasons, dip our toes into the cold water on a hot summer’s day, watch the icicles form throughout the winter, catch glimpses of the beaver building his dam and other wildlife taking refuge, and forage for mushroom on the bank in the fall.
Vincent Brook is a true treasure. The West Branch of the North River runs east-west through our property and offers a few nice dipping spots that are so welcome on a hot summer’s day. Skipping rocks from the sandy bank, hiking along the river discovering animal tracks (including moose tracks last summer!), the North River is a favorite summer spot.
The pristine forest of HO Cook State Park separates Stowe Farm Community from the Vermont State Line. Surrounded by so much wilderness and nestled on the hillside, we all enjoy the stunning changing night skies throughout the year.
