Building the Turkey Trailer

High winds in a June storm blew the roof off this old travel trailer in Heath and its owner tore off the sides. Bill and Andrew asked him if we could buy it as the base for our chicken/turkey “tractor.”

Turkeys, and Chickens, and Quails, oh my!

  Chicken and quail eggs Haynes’ turkey eggs have another 10 days in the incubator, but two days ago Andrew’s incubator with quail eggs started popping like pop corn! He opened it, they hatched and were hopping all over the place!

In one battered envelope I discovered a clutch of my dad’s Project Account Books from the Virginia Department of Vocational Agriculture dated 1927, when he was 15.
