Our friend Alex really is an amazing guy. Besides being a writer focused on green building, energy, the environment, and the outdoors, he is the founder and executive editor of Environmental Building News, published by BuildingGreen, Inc., a great dad and husband, and 2010 winner of The Hanley Award for Vision and Leadership in Sustainable Housing.
In the photo, Alex says his friend, LaVerne Williams, is really the father of the green building movement in Houston (we say Alex is the father of green building in VT). LaVerne is a residential architect and champion of sustainability–in many ways.
Alex is just completing a month-and-a-half bicycle journey. We should have posted this earlier, but you can still read about it in his blog.
