Support local economy and food you can trust

July 2, 2020 by Stowe Farm

support local food & economyNow is the perfect opportunity to support our local economy. We are fortunate to have so many awesome farmers and skilled crafts people in and around Colrain. Not only are you supporting them and our local economy, but the freshness, quality, flavors, and nutritional values are miles above factory farms. You’ll never go back. Here is a list of our favorites:

Lyonsville Farm Maria’s CSA is filled, but she now has online ordering and is at the Greenfield Farmers’ Market.

Shoestring Farm Shoestring Farm is sold out for the season. Check back for starts next spring!

Catamount Country Store in Colrain is open again, taking orders, which can be brought to your car. We know why their beef is so good. They are our neighbors and we walk by their healthy, happy cows everyday, as you can see in this photo. Catamount Country Store happy cows

Pine Hill Orchards in Colrain is open again from Wed-Sun, and has a walk-up window. You can come in or order ahead for vegetables, fruit, baked goods, meat, take-out, dairy, and craft beer, cider, and wine.

Hearty Eats mostly vegan restaurant. You can now order online their usual delicious meals, organic produce, organic bulk dry bulk, beer & wine, desserts, and more.

Sunderland Farm Collaborative is a group of regional farmers offering online shopping of high-quality organic produce, grains & dried beans, coffee, bee & maple products, spices, bread & tortillas, and other local farm products.

CISA (Community Involved in Sustainable Agriculture) has a list of regional farms.

NOFA (Northeast Organic Farming Association) is a great resource for learning about organic farming and gardening. Many of their programs are online for now.
